On July 18 Ashbury Heights will release a new EP, the first new material since the debut “Three Cheers for the Newlydeads”. The EP will be called “Morningstar in a Black Car” and also includes the video for new song “Spiders” and some remixes from Marsheaux, Agonoize and UnterART.

Unreleased Amorphous Androgynous album gets FSOL release
Garry Cobain and Brian Dougans recorded the album "Environments" in 1994 as an Amorphous Androgynous album, but they never got around to releasing it. Becoming the fans' holy grail, it was unreleased until it was remastered in 2007 and released digitally under the Future Sound of London name on fsoldigital.com a couple of months ago. Now it's time for a CD release, in July.
Also, having scoured the net for info, I learned that there is a brand new FSOL release coming up, and they're going for the electronic style again. Brian has said online that "it's going to be a killer".

New Delerium material with new member
According to a recent interview with UK's Alternative Magazine, Bill Leeb is working on new Delerium material together with fellow Front Line Assembly member Jeremy Inkel. Rhys Fulber is no longer in the picture, so Jeremy stepped in to fill his shoes. Bill claims that he doesn't care if Delerium's played on the radio or not, so now they will just do what they want. Apparently, it sounds like "Leftfield meets Massive Attack". There's no info regarding release date or title.

Stirrings from Brendan Perry
No new album has surfaced from the less prolific half of former Dead Can Dance since the brilliant "Eye of the Hunter" in 1999, but the wait will soon be over. Several songs for the forthcoming album on 4AD can be heard on his Myspace page, though Brendan Perry thinks the album probably won't be out sooner than the end of 2008.
The new album will apparently differ quite a lot from the previous one in featuring rhythm machines and electric guitars, but songs like "Utopia" exhibit all the lushness and grandeur we've come to expect from Perry.

The Indie Music Portal and Social Network Launch
After more than one year in beta testing and elaborations that now offer the best possible features to the site and it's members, The Electrogarden Network is proud to announce the first official version and release of The Definitive Independent Music Portal & Community Supersite.
The Site is now fully tested out and all feaures are in place for this first official release. Thanks to the artists and members that helped out in the beta cycles. More cool stuff is coming in the future!

YouTube Features Enabled for Artists & EGN Site Pages
We have added the feature to allow artists to create videos as embedded YouTube items.
There is a new Video Embed option in the Video Create section of your profile manager. Just paste in the embed code and set other attributes as needed. This way you now either upload your video content or use your YouTube videos!
The site overall should now also allow YouTube embeds in artist/member profiles and blogs. Here is a favorite...
We are working on a way to allow non-artist profiles/members to add YouTube and other video embed features to their profile using the system as well so that you could manage video items through your profile manager. Stay tuned.
